George Cox & Sons Ltd have been working with Fylde Council and the designers to develop the high street improvements scheme. The works aim to create an attractive event space and enhanced public area in the heart of St Annes. Increasing events in the town will lead to more footfall from visitors and residents and ultimately generate economic activity. The event space is part of the St Annes Masterplan, which was designed to improve the look and feel of the town centre, promote public transport and enhance the character of the conservation area. Works started 4th November 2024 with the aim to complete by May 2025.

The George Cox & Sons team has liaised with Fylde Council Parks Team allowing existing plants to be retained and used before the works commenced. Two liaison officers are on site daily for an hour to provide communication links between the public, businesses and other stakeholders during the project.
