George Cox were successful in being awarded the construction of new estate road, access road, car park and building formation for new campus at Lancaster University.

The new campus flagship building will be situated approximately 250m away from the A6 access point.  Programme constraints required building works to start prior to the completion of the new access road requiring the construction of significant temporary work to provide uninterrupted access for the building during the road construction period.

Our works consists of the highway construction including; bulk earthworks, cut & fill, ground improvement, utility diversions, traffic signals, street lighting and landscaping and drainage works including; stormwater attenuation, deep sewer, sustainable drainage systems, culvert installation, watercourse diversion and open water swale construction.

The drone footage below shows the work which has been carried out to date.
