Construction began at the start of November 2025 on the latest road safety improvement scheme for Bury Council in the Fishpool and Pimhole area. The project is about making your streets safer, giving you more ways to travel without needing a car, and creating welcoming public spaces that are easy to get around and well connected. Developed together with the Fishpool and Pimhole community, the scheme includes upgraded junctions, new pedestrian crossing points, traffic-calming features, and measures that encourage more walking, wheeling, and cycling for shorter local journeys. Works are programmed to run through to late Autumn 2026
